All restoration work performed by Xaldryonxlyon is covered by a workmanship warranty:

  • Finish and surface work: 6-month warranty for normal outdoor conditions
  • Hardware replacement: 6-month warranty on installed components

Our warranty covers defects in workmanship that become apparent during normal use. It does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents
  • Exposure to extreme conditions beyond normal outdoor use
  • Modifications or repairs made by third parties
  • Natural variations in wood grain, colour, or texture over time

Limitations and Exclusions

Nature of Restoration Work

It is important to understand that furniture restoration is not the same as manufacturing new furniture. The outcomes of restoration work depend on various factors including:

  • The type and quality of materials used in the original construction
  • Previous repairs or modifications
  • Inherent characteristics of natural materials like wood

While we strive to achieve the best possible results, some limitations may exist due to these factors. We will discuss any potential limitations with you before commencing work.

Colour and Finish Variations

Natural materials such as wood may exhibit variations in colour, grain pattern, and finish that are beyond our control. When restoring furniture:

  • We match colours and finishes as closely as possible to your specifications
  • Some variation may occur due to the natural characteristics of the material
  • Exposure to sunlight and weather will naturally affect finishes over time
  • Previously treated areas may respond differently to new treatments

These variations are inherent to working with natural materials and do not constitute defects in workmanship.

Refund Procedures

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your order before we begin work:

  • Any deposit paid may be refunded less administrative costs
  • If we have already collected your furniture, a collection fee may apply

After Work Has Commenced

Once restoration work has begun:

  • You may request to stop further work at any time
  • Payment will be due for all work completed up to that point
  • Materials purchased for your project are non-refundable
  • Your furniture will be returned in its current state of completion

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemic, government actions, supply chain disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.

If a failure with services does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the services remedied within a reasonable time. Nothing in this Return Policy is intended to limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
